The number of confirmed coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Zimbabwe have gone up to three after the Ministry of Health and Child Care confirmed that a male patient who was in contact with ‘Patient 2’ Zororo Makamba has tested positive for the disease. Zororo who was Zimbabwe’s second coronavirus patient died on Monday morning and was buried on Tuesday.
The Ministry revealed that it had tested 15 specimens, mostly from people who had come in contact with Zororo, and only 1 of them has come out positive so far.
However, the health officials are still waiting for the results of a suspected case involving a Masvingo woman who travelled to South Africa recently and who has been put under self-isolation pending the results of the coronavirus test.
